As the saying goes: An apple a day keeps the doctor away! Apples are so nutritious they can be used for almost all common skin issues including loss of elasticity, and they can be used for exfoliation treatments, among other. Here are a few ways to use apples for cosmetic purposes:
Apples and wheat germs mask is suitable for all skin types and has hydrating and cleansing properties. People who used it have noticed that their skin’s appearance dramatically improved. To make it you need 1 teaspoon of apple puree and one teaspoon of wheat germs.
Before applying the mask wash your face with warm water. It helps to open the skin pores so that the nutrients in the mask can easily be absorbed. Apply the mask on for 15 minutes and rinse it of using warm water.
For acne affected skin, the apple and honey mask is a great choice. To make the mask you need one pureed of finely grated apple and a teaspoon of honey. The activation time for the mask is 20 minutes. Rinse with warm water. To get an even more powerful effect you can also add 15g of chopped sage leaves and 2 teaspoons of rose water.
You can also make toning lotion based on apple juice. Mix the juice of one apple with 1 teaspoon of rose water. Wipe the skin on your face, neck and cleavage with it and rinse with warm water. Don’t make too much at once because the apple will oxydate quickly. Make only as much needed to use once.
To make a mask against wrinkles blend one apple and add a teaspoon of milk. Apply it and leave it until it dries. Rinse it using warm water.
To make an apple night cream for sensitive skin, puree one apple and mix it with a cup of olive oil and a cup of rose water. Bain marie everything together, but the rose water, while stirring continuously. Don’t leave it on too much or you’ll ruin the malic acid in the apple. Leave the cream to cool down and add the rose water. Keep it in the fridge in a seal-tight container and use it every night before bed.
