Rice is a truly healthy food. Despite popular believe and all the carb talking, rice is great for losing weight. However, it has to be brown rice and not white rice.
Unrefined, brown rice only has 100 calories per 100g. It is high in vitamins and minerals including magnesium, phosphorus, vitamins B1, B3 and B6, zinc, proteins and fibers.
One of the best things about brown rice is that it is known for its property to maintain the glucose level under normal parameters and regulates the sensation of being hungry. Simply put, if you chose the brown rice diet you won’t feel hungry and you won’t experience cravings so much.
To get visible results such a diet must last at least 7 days and ideally, the brown rice must be soaked overnight in water before being cooked. Or at least 30 minutes prior to cooking.
For the diet to work here’s what you can eat: brown rice, fresh fruits (no bananas), spices, extra virgin olive oil in a small amount, natural fruits, unsweetened tea, no caffeine, fresh vegetables but also steamed or sautéed.
Eat small meals and take time to chew your food. Ideally, you would have to eat 6 or 7 small meals per day.
Also, make sure you drink plenty of water and do as many cardio exercises as possible.
You can use fresh carrots and fruits as snacks when and if you feel the need to nibble on something.
