Moisturizing tips for your feet

Beautiful feet are part of the overall beauty of one person. Especially during summer time when everybody’s wearing sandals and flip flops. It’s not enough to get a beautiful pedicure.

How would that look on a pair of feet with dry skin and unpleasant appearance?

Here are a few tips to keep your feet looking beautiful and silky smooth:

Take advantage of the relaxation of soaking your feet in warm water, while improving their look, at the same time. At the end of a busy stressful day at work, get a basin with warm water, add some baking soda, lavender essential oil, rose water and oily vitamin E in it, and soak your feet in there. It’s the best feeling in the world.

Keep the feet in there for at least 15 minutes, get them out and now it’s time to really hydrate them. If you wish to go natural, you can try coconut butter, coconut milk, coconut oil, olive oil, almond oil, jojoba oil, Shea butter or cocoa butter. If not, just get your favorite body lotion and massage your feet with it, also remembering to get the spaces between the toes, as well.

To really help the skin absorb the lotion, you can use two plastic bags and put them over the feet after rubbing it the lotion and keeping them on for at least 20 minutes. This works fine without soaking the feet but it is better if you soak them in warm water prior. The warm water opens up th skin pores making a clear path for the nutrients in the lotion.

If your feet are swollen from standing up all day, try this: get a few leafs of cabbage and wrap them around your feet. Wrap plastic foil on and you can leave this act overnight. Remove the wrap in the morning and wash your feet. You will certainly feel the difference.
